AAC 320 Playback from Tidal files in Plexamp

I have the same issue.

• Source is set to my local library.
• I search for an artist, visit the TIDAL search results and decide to play an album directly from TIDAL.
• 320 AAC.

Is there a solution?

Plexamp has recently decided to only play Tidal AAC 320 rather than flac tracks when playing from within my library. If I choose Tidal as my source Plexamp plays flac tracks as it should. Tidal added to library plays only aac320

I have a tidal hifi subscription (through plex). if i add an album to my plex library it show and plays as aac instead of flac. It‘s not only a display problem. Plex dash confirms that an aac file is played. Why is this bug still not fixed? I reported this behavior long time ago in now closed thread.

Tidal content in PlexAmp is not high quality

Had an odd issue with using Tidal with PlexAmp. When playing Tidal content from my library, it shows as streaming in AAC 320 (pic 1). When I search for and play content from Tidal (pic 2) it streams in full FLAC quality (pic 3). When streaming from my library in the Plex app (not PlexAmp), it also streams in FLAC quality (pic 4). Free upgrade to TIDAL HiFi - Can't Upgrade in Plex

Hello, Apparently, TIDAL is giving us free upgrade to TIDAL HiFi. Well, I have subscribed to TIDAL thought the PLEX and I can’t change the plan here. Even tried to re/link the account again, still no change. Is there something I can do or Plex will magically upgrade the account for me?

TIDAL add to Plex Music Library becomes AAC instead of FLAC

I’ve just got a subscription to Tidal and i really love the integration with Plex, but to my suprise when I add music from Tidal to my Plex Music Library it becomes AAC instead of FLAC. I’ve read that this could happen if you had a tidal subscriptions via Tidal and not via Plex, so i’ve changed that. But still it adds the albums as AAC 320 and not FLAC. When playing the file via plexamp it shows as AAC. Is there a fix for this (I couldnt find a lot of new info on this most is from a few years …

Plexamp Windows - TIDAL occasionally playing lossy despite maximum quality setting
