I am having a similar problem and do not seem to be finding any answer on these pages. When either creating a new library or attempting to Edit an existing library the Add Folders tab is not showing. Directing people to the support page does not help if the Tab is not there!
It seems to be suggested that this can only be achieved during the initialization of the software?
I am using a WD My Cloud Home, accessing through Windows.

Oddball suggestion, but have you tried a different browser?

Thanks for the suggestions, unfortunately nothing came to light.
I am beginning to believe that it may be the version that is used for My Home Cloud. I have tried disabling it and then enabling and starting from scratch, I note that the Add Folder tab is not on the Add library option even at this stage.

AFAIR the My Cloud Home is quite restricted. It doesn’t support adding custom folder locations to Plex libraries. It uses only the pre-defined ‘media’ locations of the device.

Confirmed, I have tried installing the Plex Server another two times with different attempts to add libraries and it only uses the predefined custom folders it installs by default.
Does subscribing to Plex Pass make any difference?

No, the restriction is defined by your device. A Plex pass won’t make a difference.

Thanks Otto, really appreciate the feedback. Now I am getting my head around the program I am finding easier to utilize. With over 1,000 movies and 50,000 music files it takes an age to get it on the disc, then forever to sort the metadata!
Thanks again.
Merry Christmas and I hope you have a great New Year.

I’m having the same problem. This bums me out.

Me too ikevinax, WD finally upgraded their software to be able to ‘see’ other discs but do not seem to have done anything with their integration with Plex. Seems a little short sighted to offer a cut back version of Plex even after you have paid hard cash for the Plex service.
I am also still having issues with utilizing my Home Cloud as a straight forward DLNA server for my Samsung Tvs. My old LG NAS is still an easier option to deal with.
Highly disappointed with both WD and Plex!

              Hi,
I’ve just bought a WD my cloud home and I have the same problem: no “Add Folder” when I edit a Library.
Did you find the solution?
Regards.
