I opened plex this morning to discover my apple tv could not load the libraries. I opened my iMac 5k running Catalina 10.15.7 (quad core i7, 32GB)
to find that my libraries had disappeared.
When I try to load the libraries back, I can’t because of a bug in the “add Library” dialog box.
I select a new library, then library type, name the library, BUT when I go to select language, there are no language options, therefore the NEXT button does not become active. I have tried different versions of the media player and server.
Have you considered updating your server.
Unless the server version you included in your post is a type, your server is dating back to Feb 2017. And even macOS 10.15 does support the current version of Plex Media Server (1.23.0).
From all I remember, all current generation players will need at least PMS v1.18.3 or newer to work properly (that server version is approx. 1.5 years old). Not sure if the missing language option could be a side-effect of that.
This occurs occasionally and I don’t know why. The fix is to restart Plex Media server and the Language Menu will re appear on creating a library. This situation has continued during Server version : 1.22 to now Server Version: 1.23.0.4459
You’ll need to add some meat to the bone… e.g. what version of PMS you have installed and on what platform, has it worked before , what exactly is/isn’t showing …
I have no idea why, but have found a restart resolves it for now. Yet yesterday I had to re install version : 1.23.1 before I could create a new library. A total PITA.
