I got to use the Watch Together feature once. ONCE. then you removed it.
I had planned for regular online watch parties, but that went out the window once Watch Together was removed.
Please bring this function back so that I can actually start hosting the watch parties!
Please can you keep this feature in? I am in a long distance relationship and removal of this feature really affects me. Thank you very much in advance!
I use this all the time to watch shows with friends in distant parts of the world. It’s really disappointing to loose it.

I’ve come to rely upon the Watch Together feature multiple times a day over the years. Awesome Plex features like this is why I started using Plex let alone made it easier to decide to pay for Plex Pass. Not including this major feature in your new apps without adequate reasoning feels like a betrayal and comes off as a bit short-sighted. This is disappointing for my entire family and circle of friends all over the world. I cannot strongly plead you enough to consider Watch Together important enough to add to your new apps and continue to support it across the board.
I would also like to add my voice to the pile. This feature is so important to the plex experience. As a software developer I understand when you overhaul something you need to set reasonable scope so I understand some features may be lost as you rebuild… But please, don’t forget about this. Get it back. It’s important.
As a side request: I would love if I could add users to my Plex Server that can only “Watch Together” and not stream if one my family members isn’t actively hosting a watch together session. Almost like a guest access to a library that only lets them browse and join watch together (not stream independentally)
Fully agree. I use Watch Together daily & it is what sets Plex apart from other services. Without it, Plex wouldn’t be my go to platform.
It’s crazy they keep removing features. While making the “new experience” a worse one.
I use this feature every week. I will end up having to use a different product if this feature is not reinstated. Not happy this was removed at all.
My friend who lives in another time zone and I use Watch Together. Watching movies together was something that I started doing with a lot of long-distance friends, even BEFORE the pandemic.
I’m currently refusing to update my apps because of the report that the update removes this feature.
I would even support making this a PlexPass only thing; it would make me get a PlexPass more quickly (currently just have Remote Watch).
Removing Watch Together makes Plex unusable for me since it’s almost exclusively what I use it for. Add it back and maybe I won’t switch to Jellyfin. At this rate though, Plex is making it clear that they aren’t reliable.
Yea, kinda regretting the lifetime sub I got a MONTH ago. If I’d waited might’ve gone with jellyfin
added my vote, never voted on anything so far because i’ve always liked the direction but to do away with this feature is just plain wrong.

People are going to migrate to Jellyfin if this feature is deprecated. I know I decided on using Plex over Jellyfin because Jellyfin’s sync watch is only available in their browser and not the apps.
As many people have commented this is a feature many users cherish on Plex, I use it with my significant other multiple times a week.
The moment this is deprecated on TV apps it will be a problem.

Bro I bought plex lifetime specifically to have watch together in unlimited mode… Yesterday I wanted to watch a movie with a friend remotely after a long break and discovered that I was robbed off this feature. wtf? Jellyfin was never so appealing as now…
I used the feature anywhere from once a week to daily. Removing the feature is an action AGAINST your users Plex Team
I’m gone more days per year than I’m home. Sure would be nice to use this feature for watching movies or TV with my wife while I’m stuck in a hotel somewhere.
Please add back this feature!
