I’m a lifetime Plex pass owner and use the Watch Together feature multiple times per week, if it going away permanently then I’ll have to move to jellyfin or another alternative that cares about it’s users.

Please bring this feature back it’s a critical part of the plex experience. I recently lost my most beloved and loving member of my immediate family. The idea of being able to use Watch Together to bring together members of my chosen family is all the more important

Yeah seeing that this isn’t going to be part of Plex any more, along with the price increase, I’ve cancelled my subscription. Been paying for over a year, and the reason was for Watch Together so my partner and I can easily watch stuff together. Some mind blowing concept right?

Plex, what’s the issue? This is such a trivial feature. I have all this functionality in code controlled from the API to keep videos in-sync across devices. This should be like a 1-day project for the intern. Why remove this?

The Plex team needs to stop removing features from its product. Immediately. I know there’s a few people looking at remediations due to the license agreement that was originally presented before it allowed for revisions. But that could spell trouble for Plex as a whole (and users) if that route was pursued. The team isn’t doing themselves any favors by removing things; it makes those actions all the more likely.

Watch Together is an amazing and unique feature Plex (used to) offers that most other platforms don’t. It’s critical that it’s one of the highest priority features to add back into the new Plex experience.

Plex is the only app on the PS5 that isn’t a big network (Netflix, Youtube, D+, etc) that supports watch parties, and also the ONLY app for personal media streaming. Even DLNA isn’t native. The Watch Together feature is the only way some of my friends can enjoy watch parties without pulling out a laptop or their phone. Killing this feature is straight alienating a large part of the userbase (PS5, Mobile, eventually web/desktop).
Do not kill this feature. If it must go down for development, leave us something that works while you improve or rebuild it (add playlist/multi-select support? literally sync the play queue).

In fact somewhere they said, they removed Watch Together because Netflix and Disney+ also did remove it.
