Added User can't access Library

Hi all. Been searching for a solution and can’t seem to find anything that would present the problem. While I’ve been using Plex for awhile but only recently went to add my mom as a user and shared the libraries with her account.

When we open up Plex, it shows the server (which is on my Synology device) as being there, but she’s getting a Not Authorized.

When I’m at her place, I can log out of her account and log in with mine and access the server without any problem, so I’m sure there’s nothing wrong with Remote Access. I’ve gone through and unchecked / rechecked the libraries, etc without any luck.

Feel like I’m just missing something, but any advice is greatly appreciated…

You’ve blocked out the names so I can’t tell if you are using the correct account. Can you PM me clean versions of these images?

For future reference, worked with MovieFan.Plex via direct messages. The end solution that worked ended up being:

The only thing I can think of is something weird happened when you claimed the server. You can try

  • unclaim your server
  • remove from authorized devices
  • reclaim server
  • update sharing to reflect this new server
