Adding full users to home without having them show up on my login screen

One reason I’ve been reluctant to add full users to my Plex home is that they will show up on my login screen. I’m not a fan of the managed “Baby Goats” account showing up when I log in (even on my phone which no one else uses) but now having more than 1 account showing up even on devices they don’t use is something I find undesirable.

The bigger problem however, is said 7 year old baby goat hates content restrictions and ends up watching things she isn’t supposed to. Having my brothers (who don’t put pins on their accounts so their wives can also watch without having to worry about remembering another pin) has presented the kid with a variety of options by just going to Plex, opening an uncle’s account and watching something that she isn’t supposed to (extreme violence, language, and sometimes horrors - horrors being the worst because of nightmares).

Is there a way to not have other full users show up on my screen… and on that same note, for me not to show up on other full users’ login screens because that then allows them to get in my account (for things like TV I use simple pins) and at best have access to the watch history of other people or even add someone I don’t know to my server, and at worst they could inadvertently delete some content (I’ve had this happen before requiring everyone to create an account).

By inviting them as regular shared users.

Ok. I wanted to give some of them the pass benefits (I recently noticed they don’t automatically get “Skip Intro” and the like). So I have regular users that will remain that way but wanted to add my brothers to my home without having to see their profiles on my TV, laptop or phone.

That’s not possible.

There is “automatic logon” in the settings of every client which, once activated by the “admin” user, will make it so that there is always the last user logged in.
So the User selector screen (and the need to put in a PIN) will only appear if this device is completely new (or someone/something has reset it).

Ok. Let me look into that and will get back to you.

I was wondering this myself

Automatically sign in

If you’re a member of a Plex Home, this option will let you skip needing to select a user or enter a PIN when first loading Plex Web App. When enabled, the app will automatically sign into the last used Plex Home member.

Seems to be getting the trick done. It’s working fine on my phone, I haven’t tried on the Xbox because baby goat is on that right now. On my laptop when I click save it’s spinning the progress circle for a long time. Gave up on it twice and will try later. But if it’s on a per client basis there’s some work to do… different OSes and device types to deal with such as Tizen TVs, VIDAA TV, Macbook, and that sort of thing.
