I currently have a server with dual x5550 on windows. I am curious if there is a decent gpu out there that will help me get 2-4 more streams. I know the p2000 will work but I was looking for something a little more budget. any insight would be greatly apprectiated

GeForce GTX 1050 is the lowest cost option with both env/dec support for x264/265 but is locked at 2 streams.
Most older cards are locked at 1 stream and many don’t support both enc/dec of x265

If you’re using a server it might have limit on the wattage on boot for the PCI-E slot… rack mount ones do that but towers usually don’t.
I have read some about unlocking nvidia graphics cards for more streams. Although I have not read anything about for windows. is this possible on windows?
Requires you to modify driver dlls… don’t really recommend that
