Ads forced during viewing of own library

I was watching an TV episode in my own library and TV ads were forced during the show for the first time. Is there a way to fix this? I have a Lifetime pass and should not have to watch ad that are on my server.

You are undoubtedly mistaken and watched something streaming from the free content.

I removed the show from recently viewed. went directly to the library and episode and launched it again. No issues now 11 minutes in. I think somehow plex decided to load a free version even though I just clicked on the next episode in continue watching. Odd, but I think it is solved for now.

If you have the Plex free stuff “pinned” then the free options will show up in “continue watching” right by your own files. It’s easy not to notice this and then you get a surprise ad.

If you don’t have the plex content pinned and you were using the Recommended files or directly navigating to your own files and got the streaming content anyway… That would be an interesting bug.

Continue watching does not automatically mean your local files. It depends on what you have selected to use. You just didn’t notice when it played.

jinx you owe me a coke lol
