Not that it helps you but I’m on Synology as well and seems to work after signout and reclaim at least for internal access versus plex.tv. Last time I checked was still an issue so reading threads I’m just going to wait and retry in a few.
so, we need to wait?
Also when linking devices the code expires in like 3 seconds not giving enough time to link. Took me ages to eventually get them linked.
I would. I wouldn’t mess with files just yet
yes you are right, i will wait
Same issue here, and the suggested fix of editing Preferences.xml does not help at all.
It would be great if Plex could give an indication whether we should just wait this one out, or that all of us are doing something wrong.
Does internal access work versus plex.tv? IP of your server? Or synology app? I will say in general, post this pass reset, plex is running slower, sign in, access to home though access right to added library seems OK
I tried via Plex.tv and via ip and none works for me
Access by IP works fine for me and by phone app’s externally
I’ve manually revoked the certificate for your QNAP server
Please stop/start PMS again in the AppCenter, then wait 2 min, and then report back
I feel like it’s fluctuating. I was OK after reclaim, but just now libraries acted like off line, sign out and back in (syn app) came back . I have 2 syn servers. one primary and one lower end, acts as backup. One looked steady one , one flaky and seemed in and out. I think maybe things plex end are still trying to stabilize? Right now libraries on both look they are on but a few mins ago one remained on one and looked like it did before I had to reclaiim, signed out of the app (not account) and back in and came back .
Nope still no luck
in my situation everything is still the same, I still get the “not authorized” message
Log into your server locally: IE: https://serveriphere:32400/web (make sure to put /web at the end).
Select the library to the left side and it’ll say it is unclaimed. Claim it by clicking the button. It’ll take you to preferences, then click claim again. That will fix this.
This has been the absolutely worst experience I’ve ever dealt with regarding a password change and Plex should be ashamed of themselves.
I did this:
https://ip.ip.ip.ip:32400
Signed in with new credentials
Claimed server (ignored the no remote access error)
https://app.plex.tv
Signed in
Everything eventually showed back up without further intervention.
Hopefully this works for others.
Running PMS on Synology, version 1.28.1.6104-7000
I’ve claimed the server but we can’t get external web browser access by plex.tv
Same here all the way long,
succeeded to reclaim the server using the local web interface, but now it is totally unreachable.
I have 0 answers from the PMS using the local.ip:32400, while the PMS service do still run in OMV.
Tried rebooting the service, the machine, many times, but still nothing happens. Tried also to reinstall the last maj using dpkg -i, but it hasn’t changed anything
Like most here, I’ve apparently been locked out from my Plex by doing what Plex told me to do.
What I don’t understand: where or how does one do this fabled reclaiming of one’s server? I just get the Plex UI, but can’t find any entry for the server (which is running 2 meters from where I sit on my Synology).
Local access through the IP or Synology’s tunnel also doesn’t work, it’s as if Plex server wasn’t running.
Spoke too soon. If I go to the browser and look at both my syn>plex servers I can see libraries. On phone IOS app I can see one, other shows offline. smh…
same problem with me
