After changing password i can't access my media by web browser

Fun times!

Stopped my Plex server for now, don’t have time for this – and don’t want to have unclaimed servers open.

Which element is same? libraries? Are you running more than one server? Just curious

same here, did see it grayed out, But know nothing, running on Unraid.
Will probably need to do reclaim, but the docker commands tent be huge, not sure if I need all the command or it will be enough to insert only the claim part of the command

Seems maybe they are still looking into https://status.plex.tv/

this part:
"I just get the Plex UI, but can’t find any entry for the server (which is running 2 meters from where I sit on my Synology).

Local access through the IP or Synology’s tunnel also doesn’t work, it’s as if Plex server wasn’t running.
"

For me server side via Browser (haven’t tried app on Roku yet) sees all libraries versus IOS app sees one server offline other looks accessible

Perhaps maybe it resolves itself after they fix whatever is happening their side? https://status.plex.tv/

Had to look around a bit more, of course – this seems to be happening to many folks who use Plex on a NAS, see this thread.

I’ll wait for Plex support to tell us what to do (even though this clearly was not a good idea today).

You have to get to your plex home page from your local network - not plex.tv. On synology if you go to the Plex app there is a URL.

Lesson learned: NEVER under ANY circumstances EVER change your plex password again

yes I am realizing that many are having the same problem, I will wait to see an answer from Plex, I will not change anything until there is a solution from Plex.

After changing my password, I navigated here and saw a 0, indicating an unclaimed server:

http://my.ip.add.ress:32400/identity

There is no option in my Settings to reclaim a server whatsoever, so I am stuck here until issues are resolved, hopefully.

Mine “link” (I get the green check and Account Linked message) but when I open app again on my TV it wants me to link it again. And yes the 3 seconds to link is ■■■■■■■ crazy!

I had the same Problem after changing password and activating MFA.
Over the website i could not access my Plex Server and no media libraries were showing.
I have found a solution for my ASUSTOR NAS.
Maybe it will work on other NAS System too.

  1. Stop Plex Server on the NAS
  2. backup the file preferenzes.xml, You will found the xml file in your plex folder on your NAS. then delete it in the Plex directory
  3. DO NOT delete the Plex directory !
  4. uninstall Plex Server on the NAS
  5. reinstall Plex Server on the NAS
  6. Open the website from the Plex icon on the NAS and login again
  7. Go through the steps and then at the point of media libraries you should see your previous libraries.
  8. Reorder the display
  9. If necessary, set the remote access again, because if a port forwarding was set up, it is no longer correct.

It worked for me and I don’t have to re-import anything and all the movies etc I have already watched are also highlighted.

Which nuance were you trying to fix? Inability to claim?

Yeah mate, I think we need to kick back and just let the tech guys do their thing. I can view from my NAS locally ok via Plex but need to setup a remote connection from another outside location, but not going to change anything else until they are sure everything has been fixed :slightly_smiling_face:

Sorry what?
i have only post a working solution for my NAS, because i had the same problem like the post creater.
I did not say here that anyone was incapable.
Please do not make such accusations.

I was receiving “Not Authorized” on docker Plex. I fixed it by

  1. Shutting down container
  2. Erasing the 4 online values in Preferences file
  3. Starting Container
  4. EVEN THOUGH i could reach it IP ADDRESS:32400/web this was giving me unauthorized and not allowing to connect account
  5. Downloaded Firefox Browser on Docker and ran on HOST network.
  6. Opened up HOSTIP:5800 browser session then navigated to localhost:32400/web and this allowed me to login and claim the server.

Sorry not sure what you mean on accusations? Was just trying to clarify what permutation you fixed by doing what you did. The post(s) have several different issues wrapped in. Claims issues, library visibility issues etc…

Well after uninstall of IOS app and re-install, re-auth, etc IOS looks normal for seeing all libraries on a all Plex servers

I have expanded my post, should now be clearer.
