After migrating from Plex QTS to QuTS hero system, movie names lost formatting

Server Version#: 1.25.8.5663

Hello.

I reinstalled Plex that was installed on my old server with QTS system on a new server now with QuTS hero system and it is not displaying my movie names correctly. The names are all in English and with a different formatting than I had. I’ve restarted Plex a few times and I’ve restarted up to the server, but it didn’t fix it. Could someone please tell me which file I should replace or edit to get back to my old default? I still have the old QTS system library so I can theoretically search.

Thanks.

Can you show us a screen capture from like QNAP File Station, showing us the root of your movie library all the way down to a movie that doesn’t show correctly?

Hi, here is the screenshot of my File Station in Portuguese (Brazil). My current server is a QNAP TS-h973AX 9 bays with 32GB.. I noticed that it consumes a lot of memory. I bought 2 1TB Samsung SSD disks for caching and I’m waiting for it to arrive to get them up and running. The ZFS file system is an “ass” that consumes a lot of memory… As for the video, I don’t know how to show you. How can I do it?

What language is your library set to?

Hello my friend. My language is Portuguese Brazil. I never changed anything about it. It remains the same. But if you want, please let me know where I can get more information about this.

Edit the Movie library you should see something like this:
Untitled
Mine is set to English

It’s in Portuguese! Very crazy…

Do you have local metadata enabled?

Can you expand Filmes directory all the way down to a movie?

Also note, that you placed your medias in QNAP Multimedia folder, which is not recommended!

See: Qnap faq.....read me first!

Hi, where do I check this?

I had no knowledge of this article. I didn’t know that it was not recommended to use the Multimedia folder. But in 4 years of using Plex, I’ve never had any problems with improper sharing of other QNAP programs. I always had everything very well organized and structured. Could you tell me where the “Plex Ignore” option is?

These are some of my library settings.

I managed to solve my problem. For some reason, it is useless for you to check or uncheck some advanced options of the existing library. The scan does not work. You have to remove the library and add it again with the options you want to fix. So I added it again with the “Use original titles” option unchecked and the “Preferred Local Metadata” option checked. In addition, I put the library in Portuguese and the option “Country of Certification”, I put Brazil. Soon my library returned to normal with the names in Portuguese and in the formatting that it was before.

Thank you all for your help.

Next time, a forced refresh might also have done it
