I recently returned from vacation to find my Plex not working. After trying all the options I could find to check the database for errors (it said there were none) and run a repair, no effect, i eventually uninstalled the software.
When I tried to reinstall the software it failed. I eventually had to run “sudo dpkg --purge --force-all plexmediaserver” and after that I could re-install.
So I re-installed from scratch and setup all of my libraries from scratch, again. I did not try to restore them because for all I knew it was in fact the culprit and I would have to do the whole dance again. So I figured a fresh start was best.
I now have the issue of no Plex Pass features being available in the web or app. Most notably and obvious being music lyrics although I have also specifically noted the lack of movie trailers as well.
Yes I had the Plex Pass Downloads option set to On when I downloaded and yes I set the music libraries up as premium libraries. I did name the server differently to make sure there was no conflict but I don’t see how that should matter.
How can I get my lyrics back?
