After updating Plex on Synology, all libraries are offline

Server Version#: 1.16.2.1297-4b7ace214
Player Version#:

On Sunday I updated to 1.16.2.1297-4b7ace214. I I have been without Plex Mix but I thought that might be because Plex is working on it per their announcement. Today, I am outside my home and my Plex Libraries present as “offline” in the IOS App and in the web app whereas just last week on v1.6.1 I was still connecting fine. I am able to connect to my DSM and I can see the drive and all the files are intact and all permissions are in place per Q3 on @trumpy81 profile. I do not know why my libraries are offline.

On the shared folder for Plex it had “Custom” for permissions, which was working up until v1.6.2. I changed it to “Red/Write” as instructed but it makes no difference.

I have done everything that you said. My libraries still present as “offline”. Please engage warp drive.

update I uninstalled Plex on Synology. > Deleted Plex folders. > Deleted Plex from users. > Installed latest version of Plex. > Made sure Plex has all permissions as specified. > Same problem. Libraries “offline”.

If I go back to v1.13 that is provided by Synology, will Plex Pass not be supported?

Otherwise, is there a support department for Plex Subscribers to receive one on one remote assistance?

Please show me screenshots of the Permissions tab in Control Panel - Shared Folders for the media share you share you are having trouble with.

If you are using the videos share and have Video Station installed, conflict will exist.
It is for this reason we always recommend making your own shares for each media type, named how you want them.

Please do remember, as of 1.15.4.994, user Plex was removed from Administrator privilege.
Please see my announcement here, complete with How-To for assigning permissions to user Plex for your media however you want it.

Media is on an attached Seagate SSD portable drive.

@ChuckPa Are the screenshots that you asked me to post useful?

I do not have Video Station installed.

I added a portable SSD to my NAS , which made it a Shared folder automatically. The media folders in that folder inherited the permissions. I can’t add shared folders to a shared folder.

Does this mean then that I cannot a USB as a storage location for Plex Media libraries?

And I don’t know if this makes a difference, I can access my libraries when using Plex locally. So doesn’t that mean all proper permissions are in place? I said this in my OP.

resolved My issue ultimately turned out to be about remote connectivity and was resolved with port forwarding. Thank you for your assistance.
