Agents are not working on my PMS on NAS

Hi

I moved my plex media server from a laptop to a Synology 918+ about a week ago. I got new internet at the same time, and everything worked smooth. I bought a better router the Fritz!boxBox 6591 (Vodafone in germany), and that’s when things stopped working.

Now the Plex Movie agent and Subtitle agents are not working. I’be been using The Movie Database Agent which (veeery slowly) can collect metadata but almost never artwork. So i’ve been sitting at home updating artwork for 2500 movies the whole weekend. I’m finally done - but the issue is i still can’t load any subtitles with the agent, and new movies i add don’t get artwork. So i’m setting myself up for a whole lot of work, if i don’t fix this now.

I’ve obviously been looking through the forums for a fix, but i haven’t found anything that’s worked. Anyone got any ideas? I need to free those agents!

  • PLEASE turn VERBOSE logging off. DEBUG is all we need except for rare occasions.

  • After transporting all the files, extra steps are needed to purge the caches created by Windows (not compatible)

Thanks for answering.

Btw i’m on PMS 1.18.7.2457 on synology ds918+ with DSM: 6.2.2-24922 Update 5

I turned off Verbose logging now. Here’s the logs: Plex Media Server Logs_2020-03-09_10-29-24.zip (4.1 MB)

  • I already tried deleting the cache and data (just did it again), and it didn’t change anything.

I was so desperate, ealier this week, that i even deleted my old plex account, and made a whole new one, that I only used on the NAS, to start over from scratch. And i also made a whole new install of PMS on the NAS, but the problem persisted.

I suspect the issue might be related to what these guys are experiencing: Scanning Library Takes Hours

Hope the new logs, can help make sense of the situation.

Okay, I finally managed to sove the issue. I Had to open some specific ports in the firewall on my router. If it can help anyone, i opened the ports specified in this post: What network port do i need to open?
