Agents not working and now can't get into Server Settings

I’ve been working on my install all day adding content, when all of a sudden I wasn’t able to pull posters or info from the agents. After trying to reboot and possibly “reinstall” plex (FreeNAS), now I keep getting “Server Settings are Unavailable”! No idea what’s going on. I have a remote server that is working fine, but everything related to my onsite isn’t working. I tried a fresh jail just in case and even though I didn’t sync all my content, I was at least able to get into the settings area.

Something seems to have screwed up in the install somewhere. I’d really like to not have to do a fresh install and manually redo all my libraries again :(. Any help on getting this thing back up and running would be helpful.

BTW, I did remove the server link in devices and still not able to get into settings to reconnect. This is happening even on the local call as well using an internal ip. Odd thing though, I’m still able to play all the content in the libraries locally…

Fixed it.
Unfortunately I had to do a clean install on a new jail. For anyone who might find this, make sure you make a backup copy of the “Plex Media Server” folder before doing anything.

After copying files slowly, I suspect something went wrong with one of the agent files, scanners, or something. To recover, I just copied the database folder and the metadata folder over. Didn’t need to keep any of the channels, and I didn’t really need to keep the preferences.xml file either.

All is good now. Still not sure what the hell happened, but I’m back up and running again with two servers

Nevermind, figured out the REAL problem. Apparently it had something to do with PlexPy.
I created a storage link from PLEX’s Log directory to a mount point that PlexPy could read from and it looks like PLEX didn’t like that. Unmounting the storage fixed that…
