I just got a 3rd gen echo dot, and for whatever reason, it can start playing music fine, but when I tell it to play any video, nothing happens. It’s capable of recognising shows, suggesting shows, and recognising where I’ve left watching in the episode or season, but although it tells me to enjoy watching, and acts like it’s playing, nothing happens at all. The client is a Windows 11 PC
Looking at the logs, I can see the search query requesting the correct media, then right underneath:
Websocket: Client initiated close
NotificationStream: Removing because of close
I really don’t understand what’s happening here, since music works fine. Has anyone else had this? I’ve searched the Internet pretty thoroughly, and I can see similar issues with music rather than video, and no conclusibe resolution.
