Not sure where to put this, but does Plex have the Amazon Alexa stuff locked out so music playing is available only if you have a Plex Pass? I ask because music doesn’t seem to work and I’ve seen a lot of posts of others with the same issue.
Also, the website says Plex is free on non-mobile devices but I owned an Amazon Fire TV device and had to buy the app even though I’d already purchased it for Android.
You do not need a Plex Pass to use Alexa. Please provide details if music doesn’t work.
You can’t buy the in-app activation on a Fire TV, only a Plex Pass. Unless you rotted the device and added something to trick the app to running in the mobile layout.
Was your previous purchase from Amazon? If it was from Google, these are not the same, even though they are both Android. The activation is store specific.
