Just experimenting with setting up music streaming to Amazon Alexa devices.
We have multiple user profiles in our household in Alexa and Managed Home users in Plex that have been set up a long time ago.
Problem is that Alexa doesn’t support Plex managed home users for switching with the Alexa profiles.
So I figured that we’ll just create new free Plex users for everyone in our home and just give access to music to these users and so everyone can create their own playlists for use in Alexa.
Starting PlexAmp on the phone with those accounts now says that a PlexPass is required. The server with the managed users has PlexPass, but not each individual account.
So I invited the separate user into the home - and now basically have a duplicate person in the Plex Home user switch screen.
And even if I wanted to I couldn’t remove the original managed user since all the viewing statuses are with the old account.
Am I missing anything to make it somehow work so that the users have their own playlists (and Plex stats) for Alexa, can use PlexAmp and don’t duplicate into the Home login screen?
