Did you move the Plex data over to the new server or did you just move the media files and let Plex rebuild the libraries?
What is the primary metadata agent for your movie library? (edit the library to find out)
How does the configuration of this particular agent look like (in particular, which agent is listed on top)?
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Freebase | TheMovieDB
I moved all the files from \Users\Username\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server
Everything is working fine except the posters…
Freebase is my primary metadata agent
The drive where the plex data are now situated, is it formatted by something different than NTFS?
No, its NTFS, same as before
Here is another example
Experiment:
please get the mediainfo XML of this movie and save it into a test file.
in the last screenshot, drag down the line ‘Local Media Assets’ so it sits underneath ‘The Movie database’
then perform the Plex Dance with this same movie.
After the movie has been updated again, grab the mediainfo XML again.
Make sure to name them correctly ‘before’ and ‘after’
Then zip them up and attach them here.
Oh almost forgot: while you’re at it, save also the server log files
like this ?
yes, very good.
If you compare the two sets, you’ll notice that ‘before’ the list of actors is much longer.
I’m unsure what this means, but something is different.
How do the poster selections of this movie now look like?
But there must be a way to just reset or delete all the blank posters and resync the library ?
Same, the first one i blank and i can choose between several posters after that…

Something’s weird.
If Freebase is your primary agent, then we should find a com.plexapp.agents.imdb.log among the plugin logs. But there is none.
You did refresh a movie, right? Not a tv show?
Now i got some of the poster but not all, this was never a problem before ?
I’m getting this on my music library, the first poster on a lot (not all) is blank… Note, my PMS is a MAC and I’ve had to re-do everything as my old mac stopped working. Movies and TV shows are all fine. I can go through and edit everything after its scanned in, but used to be fine on the old PMS. I’ve checked the agents and all that - is there something else I should be looking for ? Would have thought that when browsing for albums, it should select a poster, rather than a blank one - or perhaps not to upload a blank poster in the first place ? Is this some access to service problem thats causing it to be blank ???
