Allow insecure connections is set to ‘Never’, plex is still allowing insecure connections

Server Version#: Version 1.15.3.876
Player Version#:

allow fallback to insecure connections is set to never, but plex seems to be ignoring that and doing it anyway. why? on web client general settings it even alerts me that “connect to the web app is not secure” and offers to “reload securely”. this is the same page i see the “never” on “allow insecure fallback” setting

Secure connections between your Plex server and the clients are one thing.

Loading the web app into the browser is another thing.
Your web browser is complaining about the latter. And it is easily mitigated by using app.plex.tv

If you load the web app from the IP address of your own Plex server, you won’t have a fitting cryptographic certificate for this IP address. And this is what the browser is complaining about.

He is pointing out the fact that even though he disabled “allow insecure” you are still able to connect insecure. Meaning no encryption is used.

If is an “enforce” option he is using, which is not working as suggested.

You have the same misconception about the browser warning as the OP.
