Allowing remote access with network attached storage?

I previously ran Plex from my main PC and port forwarded just fine, so remote access worked like a charm. I have now started running it from another machine, and that machine accesses my media library, which is an external raid attached to directly to my router via USB. I have no problem accessing and watching that media, but I can’t figure out how to open up remote access on it. When port forwarding, am I supposed to use my router’s IP address, as it won’t let me do that.

Does anybody have a clue on how to proceed with opening up remote access with my new configuration?

Location of the media doesn’t matter for remote access. You’ll do the port forwarding to whatever computer is running PMS.

And facepalm… I can’t believe I overlooked that. Thank you very much for pointing it out. It worked perfectly!
