Alternative episode orderings faulty

I love it. Finally!

Now I just have to wait for it to be public. Hopefully soon.

I tested this with just the first episodes (I manually updated all the metadata and locked the fields). My first episode came back with the episode title as “Episode undefined” as opposed to “Episode 1”, which is what I would expect based on the actual TVDB page. I just tried with episode 2 as well while typing this and same result.

If I am not the only one seeing this, I’ll open a new thread (and also try doing some testing on other shows that have alternate orders on TVDB.

Thanks!

Same here. But other shows are fine with the new agent.

Please mention which show and which episode ordering this happens with.

The idea behind these alternative orderings is that you don’t need to lock them anymore.

Netflix Season 1 & 2 using the tvdb Netflix sorting.

I can recreate it for Money Heist (2017).
I have filed a report.

Yes, TVDB’s Alternate Order is already supported, but what about TMDB? This thread is requesting not only TVDB’s Alternate Order but also TMDB’s Alternate Order (Episode Group). Why was this thread closed?

In order to prevent people from reporting their issues with the current implementation in a feature request thread.

So, where should we vote and comment on the request for TMDB’s Alternate Order (Episode Group) now?

I’ve reopend the request thread now, but will close it again if it gets derailed with bug reports.

Thank you. I suggest we remove “Flexible Seasons (TVDB)” from the title since that feature is already implemented. Let’s focus on “Episode Groups (TMDB),” as it has not been implemented yet.

I mistyped that as I was referring to I had manually updated all the metadata and locked the fields previously to this feature being implemented. I had cleared the locks for the 1st episode of Money Heist to test it out and that was when I noticed the issue.

Spongebob has no option to select joined order from tvdb

If you’re looking for shows to test, Animaniacs is missing the option to select Alternate (Joined) order from TVDB.

I spent several days populating that show in TVDB. I’m not doing it again for TMDB Alternate Order/Episode Group! Someone else can copy/paste my work.

Thank you to Plex developers for making progress on this.

Did you Refresh Metadata of the whole show, before looking for that ordering?

Joined order is available for Animaniacs:

And SpongeBob SquarePants:

It’s not showing for me. I’ve refreshed metadata and even unmatched/matched.

I have the latest stable release (v.1.40.3.8555). Do I need the beta release (v.1.40.4.8598)?

Yes, you need 1.40.4.8598; that’s where this feature was added:

The beta is installed and Joined is there. My apologies for wasting everyone’s time. :+1:
