Amazon devices and 720 or higher No video

I have a Firestick and a Fire Tablet. I’m actually running 2 servers (redundancy and load sharing): A Win10 Intel NUC and a Synology Box.

I’m having the same problem on both of my Amazon devices when I try to play any video over 720p: The audio works but the video is just a few blocks of color on the screen that don’t move. It doesn’t matter if I sync it to the tablet or not or which server it plays from. This is all done locally in my house.

The videos are fine as they work great from my iPhone, Roku and from both my PS4 and web players.

Anything less than 720 seems to play fine on the Amazon devices. They have worked in the past but over the past few months I notice they don’t…

Thank you

Take a look at this topic. It is a known issue that the fire stick is having a hard time with 1080p content:(. It was an update that Amazon released on the GPU and Amazon doesn’t have an estimated time of repair. Live TV channels freeze within seconds on Fire Stick 4k
