An error occurred loading this content on ATV2.. plays fine on mac

Is anyone able to help me troubleshoot my most recent issue w/PLex?  the only thing that has been done recently was the PMS update was done on my mac mini.  No plex on my iPhone (can't even see my media) I can see and play fine on my macbook using plex home theater and I get the "error occurred" when using my ATV2.  I can see my media on the ATV2 but can't play.

  • Detail on the media file if it is an issue related to playing a media file: Media files play on my macbook which is running home theater but not running on iPhone or ATV2's in the house
  •
  • A detailed description of the issue (the clearer you can make this the better): I manage to launch Plex on my Apple TV, get to see all my media but as soon as I try to play something I get the message "An error occurred loading this content”.
  •
  • Ensure you post your 'PlexConnect.log' file to pastebin and post the link ('PlexConnect.log' is located in your PlexConnect folder). If possible, follow these steps to create a "more detailed fresh" one:

  • Your ATV model (2 or 3) and firmware version (found under the ATV settings > general > about > Apple TV software):  7.0.2 (6915)

Thats aTV iOS is pretty out of date

  • The PlexConnect version number. 2.3.3

Are you sure? The latest version is 0.5-dev, you must be from the future :P

I would recommend starting fresh with a new copy of PlexConnect by git cloning or installing a new .zip. Optionally you can use OpenPlex.app in my signature is you desire as well.

Sorry the plex connect version is wrong.  Where would i find the version listed? Also any benefits to using openplex vs a fresh version of connect?

Its a GUI no terminal needed. In the PlexConnect.log it says the version.

Hm.

PlexConnect on iMac -> 10.0.0.9

PMS on MacMini -> 10.0.0.9

There is something wrong with that information...

PlexConnect version 0.3.1+, according to log. Also pretty old, but shouldn't matter, I guess.

Log with loglevel=High, please.

Do you have Plex/Home enabled? Ie. two or more users defined?

Sorry I must've not take the iMac out.

Plexconnect and PMS are located on my MacMini.  The iMac is an error on my part.

Not familiar with Plex/Home sorry... how can i verify if its on?

Make sure (in ATV Settings) that you are not specifying DirectPlay for the video files. You should leave it in Auto or Transcode, otherwise your media needs to be in a format supported natively by the aTV2.

>>Not familiar with Plex/Home sorry... how can i verify if its on?

Media Manager->Settings->Users->more than one...

Ok so I've disabled Plex home (finally) and have hit the following snag when I access trailers..  Any idea of the issue?

As it states:

PIL (or pillow) is needed for the fanart processing. You got to install it, it's an extension to python.

Got it.. It now works but the strangest thing is happening now..

There is a particular movie that i would like to watch that does not play sound for some reason through plexconnect  Ironically,  sound plays through my mac book and my iPhone no problem.  I've randomly tested about 10 other movies and i have sound/video no problem through plex connect.  Is it the movie file?
