This has been happening for a week or 2 or 3.
I have a big library, A Skull NUC as server and 2x Shield Pro, ATV4, Roku, Xbox 1 and Samsung TV as clients and a lot of storage!
I goto watch a TV show on the Shield 2017 and get this “error”
An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please try restarting both Plex Media Server and this app.
I tried the same show on the ATV4 and got nothing - no error not anything it just stopped so it’s a PMS issue
So I go into the server and find the individual episode and find along side
VIDEO Unknown
and
AUDIO None
I then click the 3 dots on top right and the drop down menu and click Analyze.
VIDEO then changes from “Unknown” to 720P-H264 or similar
AUDIO also changes to English - AC3 Stereo (or similar)
I then goto the next episode and go through the same process.
Then the episode/s plays
AND I just tested the same show and episodes on my Shield Pro SERVER and have the same missing information.
Clicking Analyze also fixes PMS on The Shield server!
Clicking Analyze at season level the rotating +/++ just runs and runs - and no change in the individual episodes
And clicking Analyze at TV Show level obviously does not work through the whole section as these problems keep popping up!
This has happened many times so my conclusion is PLEX is not running analyze correctly .
Somewhere in/during the update process PLEX is not analyzing some entries.
Am I alone?
