Android does not see Libraries after password reset (initiated by breach email)

UPDATE:

In my case, it looks like the issue is my work’s WiFi firewall that’s blocking access to

https://xxx.plex.direct:32400/media/providers

I turned off wifi, and through Verizon, my Plex now works without issue.

I’ll see how WiFi fares when I get home.

The Plex app on my Android phone does not show my libraries.

On Sept 8, I received the email detailing the security incident. I did not click the link, but I signed into the web interface, changed my password, and checked the “Sign out all devices” checkbox.

That’s when the fun began.

On the Plex Media Server…

  • I had to sign back in
  • I had to reclaim the server
  • I booted the host server and restarted the Plex Media Server
  • Everything appears to be working normally.

On our RokuTV…

  • It prompted me to link to the account, and once linked, all libraries showed up as expected.

On the Web interface…

  • I signed back in, and all libraries showed up as expected.

On my Android phone…

  • I had to log back in to Plex Dash, PlexAmp, and Plex.
  • Plex Dash shows all of my libraries as expected.
  • PlexAmp shows my music libraries as expected.
  • Plex does NOT display my libraries.
  • I deleted Plex’s cache and user data, force-stopped, uninstalled, installed, logged in, and the libraries do not show up.

I’ve had a Plex Pass for seven years, and this is the first time anything like this has happened.

I’m at my wits’ end.

Suggestions?

i also am having this same exact issue. plex says remote connections anabled with forwarded port, i can connect from a browser and see all my libraries, but if i connedt from the new plex android client, for each of my libraries, it says my server is offline

I have the same issue when connecting directly from the Plex App on Android. I’m on the same IP subnet using the Plex App on an Xbox, and it works fine. It’s just from Android that i’m having issues.

Having same issue, Libraries are available through web app but not on Android Phone. Tried all solutions listed on several support forums to no avail.

Same issue, can open Plex with a browser on android but not with plex app. App log shows timeout trying to access https://xxx.plex.direct:32400/media/providers

Same issue. They sure s*** the bed on this didn’t they? I spent the better part of the morning trying to reconnect all my devices and my server. Why in the world would resetting a password cause this giant clusterf**k? My Android phone is the last one still not working. What a mess.

I’m seeing this as well.

I selected yours as the solution to the extent that I was able to determine that work is blocking access to this domain. When going direct through Verizon, Plex works now without issue.

Not sure of all of the problems everyone has experienced, but I was finally able to get mine working again. I had to force-stop the app on my phone, restart the Plex server, log back into the app, and it finally was able to see my libraries. Hope this helps those of you who were not having the wifi/network access issues. Very poor planning by Plex for something as simple as a password change…

My app fixed itself after a few hours without me doing anything.

this has been resolved in my case. it required force stopping and restarting the Plex app on all of my firesticks and google tv boxes.

Also now fixed for me. Had to fully reboot Windows 11 (running Plex Server) and force close the app on Android before it would show the Libraries
