Android mobile player, Live TV => "Uh Oh... Something's Not Right"

Server Version#:1.41.4.9463
Player Version#:2025.14.0
The app starts normally. I can browse “Home”, “Libraries”, “On demand” and “Discover”, but, when I select “Live TV”, I get an “Uh Oh… Something’s Not Right” error screen. Going back closes the app. The same happens on next try (totally re-creatable error).
OBS 1: I only see this error in the Android Mobile (beta) app.
OBS 2: Live TV works perfectly on other clients: Windows App, Browser, Android TV, …
OBS 3: I have both “Plex channels” and a local “Live DVR” with multiple local channels, using own/locally generated XMLTV file as EPG. OBS remember everything works perfectly with other Plex clients!

What to do…?

Well, this morning it seems like Live TV is working again.
The only difference must be the generation of a new XMLTV EPG file. This is performed every night (01:00), and the Plex Live TV guide is refreshed between 02:00 and 03:00 (according to DVR Settings) .

And … now it’s broken again!

  • Force stop
  • Clear cache + data
  • Restart
  • Re-install
  • Open, Login …
  • Live TV => Crash!!! (“Uh Oh …”)

Crap!

I can’t repro this on my Pixel. can you grab the app logs after crash?

It is totally reproducable on my Galaxy Fold 4, One UI 6.1.1, Android 14.
Logs attached. I have replaced div IP’s and Id’s, and only kept the most recent log lines. If you want more log-lines, just give a heads up.
The crash occured approx. 05/01/2025 23:57:30

When you say crash do you mean the app gets are dark and unresponsive or that the app force quits itself.

It gives me the “Uh Oh… Something’s Not Right” screen. It is unresponsive, and I can only swipe “back”, which gets be back to the phone home-screen.
My suspicion goes to the parsing of the data for the “Favorites” and the main “StovanPC” guide (which is my own DVR with OTA tuner). It looks like the Plex client gets it wrong, and crashes.

I can not rule out the possibility for some illegal characters in the XMLTV guide data…
It has just passed midnight here at my place which (probably) means that the URL for guide-data has changed. When I now turn on “Live TV”, I don’t get a “Uh Oh…”!

But, remember: The “Live TV” guide is working perfectly in my other clients: Android TV, Google TV, Nvidia Shield, all Browsers, etc…
