Android Plex player is unable to see libraries on local server

Player Version: 2025.30.0 (966828550)

Server is running on Synology NAS and has been updated to latest version.

The web client can “see” the server and the indexed library of music on the NAS. Similarly the Windows stand-alone Plex client can also see the indexed library on the NAS.

However the mobile (Android) client reports “No Libraries Found” even though the media server on the NAS has been selected. I also get an error message “Uh Oh… Something’s Not Right. Sorry that didn’t work. You may not have access to this media server”

I am logged into all clients with the same username.

The other “advice” message on the Android Plex app is “Check out the Plex support forums to learn how to create your own server, or add libraries to your server”. Since I appear to have done both, as reported on the web and Windows app, I am at a loss to see why the Android app can’t see the library.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Android app, just to check.

I had the same problem. It was because i was using the wrong Android app. It has to be PlexAmp
