What happened to the Plex version on android TV?
I use to have it in my channels going down the side and in play next. Now it no longer shows.

We didn’t do anything to change it. It is still there on my Nvidia Shield. If you can tell folks which device you are using, which version of android it runs someone with that same device may have some insight

Did Phillips do the update that has the ads on the home screen? I think those are actually a form of notification. Do you have notifications enabled for the app?
no update. Only plex lost his channel and play next bars. Also what notifications do you mean? As I know Android TV doesn’t have notifications. Plex asks only about contact and storage access.
anyway Plex version is 8.5.2.20133. But plex doesn’t show this bars maybe couple of weeks.
Yes that’s the version of flex I am running. It was updated because it never gave you the option for Google before and now it gives you the option to not only sign in but it says sign up with google. But there is no way it doesn’t display any more on the play next menu nor does it give the option to add it in the air channels. Before I could add my own Plex and then I could also have the free movies and TV shows
Now I can still have Pluto and haystack news and Xumo all on my menu. Only plex won’t
Same problem here on Nvidia SHIELD. You can force the issue if you disable/enable the app.

Yeah i had to uninstall the app and reinstall to test something else and I see the same now on my sheild. I made a bug report for it.
Devs found the cause for this. I’m not sure if fix will be in very next version but should soon.
