Since update 8.12.2.22756 every time I try to change to a different channel while I’m in the guide watching another channel I get kicked to an “An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again.”, or it just hangs until I back out.
Update on 2/1/21; a few days later I noticed I get the same error when attempting to rewind live TV, recorded TV, recorded movies and if I switch between movies. It got so bad I had to go back to 8.11. Please correct with an update as soon as possible or let me know what I can do to fix.
Sorry I was annoyed with Plex employees lack of response. Yeah the only way is to keep your software rolled back. I ultimately opted out of beta as the beta software is plagued with a lot of issues including the one you are mentioning. I doubt you’ll get a response but hopefully they’re aware of it and we’ll fix it in upcoming builds.
@kgeorgeii although I use Emby for li e TV, I still have one hdhomerun Prime on Plex with a test device on beta and I just updated it to the latest beta and it seems they corrected the issue.
Thank Jason. I rolled back to 8.11 for now and was thinking about staying away from the beta updates for now. Thanks for the info on the latest update.
