I bought a new Samsung TV last week and all was working well until a couple of days in when the annoying Unexpected Playback Error started showing up. I can see all my server content and navigate but when playing something, it keeps loading until I get an error message.
Looking around, I’ve seen that the general solution is to allow unsecure connections on the TV app and Plex itself but this hasn’t worked for me. I’d also read that I need to uninstall the app, power off and unplug the TV before setting it all back up. The issue here is that the Samsung AU8000 comes with Plex pre-installed and cannot be deleted – I tried going into developer mode to force uninstall but that option has seemingly been removed too.
At this point, I’ve hit my technical limit so any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
