I get home today and go to throw on some TV while I get some things done around the house. Now when I go to live TV and click guide I get the grid eye sore layout. I can see the epg on the web site when looking at everything. I tried updating the guide, restarting the server (Nvidia shield tv) nothing will bring back my program guide 
Is this an update issue or bug or just me?
Same here on both of my devices. Seems there was also a minor UI change too.
Ok I thought I was going crazy here. Yea they moved “live TV” way off to the right, definitely moved the button location. Definitely changed the ui to. Guide does nothing much now either.
Any idea when thus started to happen? Anyway thanks for the help as I was doing anything I could to fix it, knowing it’s not just me I’ll just check back on it after work tomorrow. Thanks bud.

The EPG view on Android is still beta.
So it is only available on the v7.5 beta app, which requires a special “opt- in”.
The current public v7.4 app doesn’t have the EPG view yet.
The “Live TV” action has moved to a more consistent location in the top row, release note:
[TV] Move Live TV toDiscoverRow.
As @OttoKerner mentioned the EPG Grid should only be available in the beta as we are still ironing out some issues with it (version 7.5 of the app)
Is there anyway to get the EPG timeline view back in the app? It was the main feature I used watching live tv.
This please! I could deal with the bugs with live TV but the timeline is way better than the default view just showing posters.
How do get the v7.5 beta app and opt-in? I turned on the beta option using the instructions in the support, but nothing has changed. I just got my Shield on Saturday, updated it and it had the EPG working fine until it auto updated yesterday. I would like it back and I’m happy to beta (I work as a software QA and Tech writer so I know what I’m getting into).
I am running 7.5.0.6441 now on both devices(not sure what it was when the grid view EPG was lost). I had the grid view EPG for a few weeks and then on the same day as the OP it was gone and we had the UI change. I believe, per the email I was given & the update link I was provided, that I am in the Android beta.(maybe Android TV OS is different? IDK)
Something just does not sit well with this situation. It was there now it’s gone! To me it feels like going to an expensive restaurant ordering a fancy steak and half way though your meal the waiter comes over and says “oh I am sorry sir, we gave you too much” then proceeds to cut half of your steak off of your plate and takes it back to the kitchen. >:(
I cancelled my plex pass until they fix the grid guide issue, I suggest others follow suit…
