Apple tv app update - can no longer view my library

Just updated the plex app on apple tv 4k and now I can’t seem to see my library, or anyway to connect to my NAS. It only lists live TV and Internet streaming options.

I can access my NAS on both my phone and laptop and can also connect to my NAS on the Qnap app on the apple tv itself, so there is no connection issues, it seems it just no longer possible to play local media via plex anymore. But I’m sure that can’t be right.

Any ideas?

When the AppleTV app gives me any difficulty (which it does from time to time with all the testing & switching around I do), I uninstall the app and then reinstall it.

When I reinstall, I pick and then pin it to my main server.

It’s this (re) pinning process that’s important.

If you can navigate back to the “Reset Customizations” and re-select the server, you’ll get it back.

So reinstalling returned me to the pinning section, but my library still wasn’t listed. However, once I unpinned all the other services it did then show my NAS but informed me that my plex media server needed updating also to match the updated app on the apple tv. And that solved it.
So it was something else, but your suggesting led me to the solution, so a big thanks. :blush:
