Apple TV question

I have iOS 14.2 on my Apple TV and I have the latest plex app

but for some reason I am unable to turn off subtitles in plex, I have to manually turn them off each time a new episode plays.

is there a way to just completely turn off subtitles?
also I noticed that the subtitles that were shown were off be a few seconds.

  1. Open https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/account
  2. Edit Audio & Subtitle Settings
  3. Disable Automatically select audio and subtitle tracks

Ok thanks
My other question is i have plex pass and i see on the forum people are using the enhanced plex app on apple tv, in the plex settings i dont see any option to use the enhanced player. I have it turned on on my iphone and ipad.

I think that was a thing when the enhanced player has been newly introduced. Currently it’s enabled by default but you can still disable it (there’s very few use cases for which users still do that). From what I understand this feature will be removed at some point.

  1. Open the settings in Plex for tvOS
  2. Scroll to Advanced > Disable Enhanced Video Player

what about the subtitles offset settings? it appears to be missing when I swipe down during a show.

You only get that when playing a movie with an external SRT subtitle.
If you’re using some embedded subtitles, you should manage the offset using the stream’s meta/header data.

the offset settings seems to appear for tv shows, but I can’t seem. to get it to line up with the scene. it is either way off by more than 50ms

nope… 50 ms steps is all we got.
