Asustor AS6602T Plex keeps crashing on server

ADM Version: 4.003.RQ81. I have gone through a couple of updates with ADM version and the Plex server version, it still continues to crash, usually only lasts a few minutes and I have to restart Plex on the server. Then works for a few minutes more.

You have configured Plex Media Server to scan /share/Plex and /share/Plex/Library/Plex Media Server/Media/TV Shows.

I’m not sure about Asustor, but the Synology equivalent of /share/Plex is reserved for use by the Plex application. That is where the Plex database and metadata are stored. It cannot be used for personal media or scanned by the Plex movie and TV scanners. Doing so causes Plex Media Server to crash. There are text files saying “Do not put your media here” in several languages in the directory.

Try the following:

1. Edit your Plex libraries and remove /share/Plex and /share/Plex/Library/Plex Media Server/Media/TV Shows (or just delete the libraries from the system).

2. Stop Plex Media Server.

3. If you have personal media anywhere in /share/Plex, move it somewhere else on the system.

4. Start Plex Media Server and configure libraries to look to appropriate locations.

Thank you! Awesome. I simply moved my media, Movies and TV Shows, out of the Plex folder and put it somewhere else. And deleted the other folders. And so far it is working! At least for about 12 hours now.
