ATV 4K + Synology DS920+ Plex freezes with Play / FF / Seek / Jump

I have four seperate AppleTV 4Ks all running latest TVOS (14.4) and latest Plex App (7.15). The Plex Server is running on a Synology DS920+. Regardless of which AppleTV we use, whenever we press Play / Pause or try to scan forward or backwards and then press Play again, the TVOS Plex App freezes. I have to restart the TVOS Plex App.

Here is what I have tried for troubleshooting:

  • I’ve restarted the AppleTVs countless times.
  • I’ve removed and reinstalled the Plex App several times
  • I’ve logged in, out, and back in to my Plex account

None of the above work.

FWIW, the functionality works flawlessly when running Plex :

  1. via web browser
  2. on MacBook Pro with Plex.App (v 1.25.0.1511-47afccd4)
  3. on iPhone 11 with iOS Plex App (v7.15)

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Any solutions? ideas?
