Audio slightly out of sync with 1.18.1.1973

So we finally got around to watching Spider-Man Far From Home, 4K, TrueHD, enhanced player and all that. The audio lip sync was slightly off and obviously looked weird. Then I started watching Ready Player One which I’ve watched several times and it too had a slightly off lip sync.

I updated Plex yesterday to 2.9 so I’m not sure if that cause is there or what. My Denon has auto lip sync on and up till now haven’t had an issue.

Anybody else experiencing this?

Update: I downgraded server to 1.18.0.1944 and the sync issue went away. There are logs attached further down from the beta.

Well this is a beta version so it’s possible something isn’t quite right.

I don’t see any audio sync issues with 1.18.0.1944 on my ATV with v2.9

Ah. Yeah good call. Would server logs help? They’re going to be a mess. Entertaining my niece and her mum tonight so we’ve been jumping around a bit.

Let me know and I can grab the logs after this round ends.

Hopefully I didn’t screw these up. I accidentally hit clear logs in the web portal. :frowning:

Anyway, I hope these show something. And just in case, can I downgrade the server to stable just by changing the channel to Public? I really don’t want to go through the manual way of doing this in the docker. Just sayin. :slight_smile:

Hah. Changed the selection in the web portal and also in the docker config in unRAID and it downgraded perfectly. :slight_smile:

Not sure I’ll get to check if that fixed anything till tomorrow though. Yay tropical storms. Not.

Got around to testing on the downgraded server software and it does appear to have been that causing the slightly off lip sync. Should I post over in the server beta group or can I just add that tag to this so I don’t much things up with extra posts?

I think adding the tag and editing your first post to indicate a summary of what you found out would be great!

Well I see this went absolutely nowhere. Still seeing sync issues with the new versions. Shouldn’t have updated…
