In some of my TV shows, the Audio Stream Extended Display Title is shown as English (EAC3 5.1). On others, as (English EAC3 5.1)
I think the first title is more correct. I’ve refreshed and analyzed the media but the display titles do not change.
Not really a show stopper but thought it was worth mentioning it.
On the other hand, EAC3 7.1 is now properly identified and tagged as such.
What does it look like in Plex?
It looks like this
- Codec EAC3
- Channels 6
- Bitrate 640 kbps
- Language English
- Language Tag en
- Audio Channel Layout 5.1(side)
- Sampling Rate 48000 Hz
- Display Title English (EAC3 5.1)
- Extended Display Title (English EAC3 5.1)
While the others look like this
- Codec EAC3
- Channels 6
- Bitrate 640 kbps
- Language English
- Language Tag en
- Audio Channel Layout 5.1(side)
- Sampling Rate 48000 Hz
- Display Title English (EAC3 5.1)
- Extended Display Title English (EAC3 5.1)
The latter looks correct to me.
I noticed it after I exported my TV Shows library with WebTools-NG and saw the inconsistencies in Excel.
Looks like it’s a cosmetic thing.
Further info: All my media is MKV and the tracks - video, audio and subs - have no title or name (like “English”, “Commentary”, etc.) , only the correct language code.
