I have around 1200 movies loaded into Plex, going into each one of them manually the poster changes and some have no metadata, including Cast and information,.
to get this information back, I need to un match then fix match.
I don’t really want to go into each one and do this, is there somehow this can be done automatically?

all movies are not getting metadata or just some ?
I would suggest doing some library maintenace first;
empty trash, clean bundles, optimize database
Then you could try ‘refresh all metadata’ on the movie library menu.
are you sure you have them in a ‘movie’ library and not a ‘video’ library?
what metadata scanner/agent do you have selected?
I see now, the majority is working fine, but I picked up something from your post, when I went to Edit Movies the Add folders had no path selected for Movies, so have added it and doing a full refresh, thanks for that.
