For some reason, Plex is applying non-official posters for TV Shows and Movies.

Why would I be getting these random posters when the main agents (TVDB and TMBD) don’t use these posters?

Why is Plex assigning the 20th and 2nd listed posters instead of the main posters?
If it was random selection, I would imagine they would at least change. But I’ve tested creating a new library, and the same posters keep getting selected.
Plex does have a very “lax random picker”. Plex doesn’t always pick the first poster. From my own experience I’ve seen Plex select some weird posters before, specially for season posters.
I truly don’t know the internals of plex and it’s ever so lax randomizer. And without sounding facetious, it could be the stars are not aligned yet to select a different one… Though… of all the posters, that one is not the most awful of them… Of course, that’s my opinion.

Thanks- if that’s just the way Plex works and it isn’t something I’m doing wrong then that’s some consolation I guess!
I’ve seen some terrible season posters too. I’m a bit OCD and there’s nothing worse than seeing mismatching season posters when if Plex just picked the main posters being used in TVDB they’d all match.
True that… I’ve found that some of the main posters are crap aswell so I’ve just include them with the show.
