I have a Playstation 4, with which I am using Plex from a Windows Server locally networked (1GBit).
The video is a very high-quality BD-Rip. The audio is AC3 5.1, the file overall is 8GB. Very high quality everything.
Video looks incredible. Audio sounds like 16kbs AAC. On very fast preset. It's god-awful, and totally not what I expected. The original file's audio sounds great.
How do I improve the audio quality? I'm finding it bad across all my movies, TV shows and content.
I found that the issue lies with a certain audio codec I was using. After downloading some files from other sources (not disclosing where) I found some to be fine. I'm going to use some conversion software to re-encode the audio and remux it to the video.
As for uploading samples, it'd take a week to upload a sample from Australia, my net's upload is 0.2MBit!
