Bad Plex EPG Guide Data -

I have referred it to our provider. I am assuming it relates to:
Lineup “Comcast Blairsville Digital”

Channels
vcn = 48 “The Weather Channel”
vcn=815 and vcn=1102 “The Weather Channel HDTV”,

Further to my early post, the matter has been clarified. The guide does show one entry continuously and that was on specific request from the channel. The entry being
“Live Coverage: Tracking Dorian”

Do you not see that ? If you do not, please do a manual EPG refresh through server settings for Live TV and DVR and check afterwards

The channel disappeared the other day. As of last night it was back.

If it happens again, please get me screenshots of the guide grid screen for where it should show, and screenshot from settings for Live TV and DVR and the scan channels screen where channels are matched and showing 48 and may need zip of copy of the 3 EPG database files (tv.plex.xxxxx files) in the Databases application data folder for Plex Media Server and server logs after a refresh

This is fixed now. Episode numbers are coming through for both (hopefully the right numbers !).

Please do a manual guide refresh through Server “Live TV and DVR” settings to pick up the corrections

Nothing changed here, 605 TOGGOP still in this group of not working channels. Don’t get me started on TV Shows without episode/season…
Obviously the German users are not as loud and numerous as the British or American users. Those who yell the loudest will get there guide fixed, the rest has to wait until some magic happens.

That is not true. Our provider went through a mammoth task of creating over 200 lineups from the initial Kabel Deutschland Germany Digital lineup

So selecting the closest lineup for your zip code - can you summarize to me what is still broken / wrong for the lineup in terms of channels and program data

You keep repeating that and still I only see the same 16 lineups as before. What am I doing wrong?
I just recreated the DVR today and only had Kabel Deutschland Bavaria to select, which is not wrong, but obviously was not improved for months. So how do I get to that new lineups?

Interesting. May be the new lineups did not get linked correctly to post codes
I will inquire

Same experience here with Berlin / Brandenburg setup (and only one per federal country).
I could send a list of SD / HD channels and their correct “URL” for my ZIP code to anybody able to forward this to an interested developer.

@rossinior It looks like the issue is that the local lineups exist now from the provider side but they haven’t been correctly integrated into Plex.
I am awaiting for @sa2000’s go ahead, don’t want to resetup the DVR for nothing.

It is now with our provider. I asked if perhaps the new lineups did not get assigned post codes !
They will be looking into it on Monday

This is still a problem for many series. For example, on CBS the show Survivor airing on October 9, 2019 is shown as only Survivor 10/9/19 in the guide. As such, this episode would not record since is it not marked as new. This episode should be shown as Survivor S39 E02 [NEW]. I am using the OTA guide for 84020.

I see the same thing…
The wife noticed that Survivor hasn’t been recording. I had it set to “New Airings Only”.
Once I changed it to “New and Repeat Airings” it shows up in the DVR schedule.

I am posting this in a number of forum threads

RE Plex Media Server 1.18.0.1846 Beta

  • (EPG) Change to daily full guide refresh instead of incremental refreshes multiple times a day. (#9403)

We have a bug in music refresh of metadata scheduled task that gives a failure and stops other scheduled tasks from running after it. This bug is impacting the scheduled task to do a full EPG Refresh.

A hot fix release is expected early next week - until then and if you are already on 1.18.0.1846 beta, please do a daily manual EPG refresh as there would no refreshes run

The new lineups are now visible. For example, munich post code 81476 should now see these lineups

Kabel Deutschland Baden-Württemberg Digital
Kabel Deutschland Bayern Digital
Kabel Deutschland Berlin Digital
Kabel Deutschland Brandenburg Digital
Kabel Deutschland Bremen Digital
Kabel Deutschland Germany Digital
Kabel Deutschland Hamburg Digital
Kabel Deutschland Hessen Digital
Kabel Deutschland Mecklenburg-Vorpomme Digital
Kabel Deutschland Munich (East) Digital
Kabel Deutschland Munich (West) Digital
Kabel Deutschland Niedersachsen Digital
Kabel Deutschland North Rhine-Westphal Digital
Kabel Deutschland Rheinland-Pfalz Digital
Kabel Deutschland Saarland Digital
Kabel Deutschland Sachsen Digital
Kabel Deutschland Sachsen-Anhalt Digital
Kabel Deutschland Schleswig-Holstein Digital
Kabel Deutschland Thüringen Digital

Thanks, I’ve discovered a couple of problems:

  1. I have found no postcode for Munich, except 81476 which you mentioned, to show any of the new guides.
  2. For “Kabel Deutschland Munich (West) Digital” 81476 postcode, channel 103 is MNFRKN (Mainfranken), instead it should be 103 RTL. This is SD, same for HD, 114 MAINFRAN (Mainfranken HDTV) should be 114 RTL HD.
  1. “To Be Announced” for the following channels:
  • 160 SRF Fernsehen HD
  • 164 BR Fernsehen HD
  • 299 Handystar
  • 509 Health TV
  • 605 TOGGO Plus
  • 847 Sonlive TV
  1. 24h same program (so wrong) for the following channels:
  • 232 HGTV (Home & Garden TV)
  • 297 HSE24 Extra
  • 298 QVC2

As a summary there are two missing channels (RTL SD, HD) and 9 channels with guide data missing. Do note that there could be more guide data missing, but since they are not “free”, I don’t have those paid channels (e.g. 233 HGTV HD).

Here are all postcodes for Munich btw.:

81476 is my postcode and I was one that complained. Guess that is how it made it’s way into this…

This is happening again, Weather Channel is missing completely…. I have bundled the logs and databases I cant find the EPG database files you speak of… I am running Ununtu Server 18.04.3 LTS all patches are applied and Plex is on the latest version. Any ideas? I also am unable to email the logs and databases to you, as it seems the size is to large.

Thank you for the detailed feedback. I have referred the incomplete post code mapping to our provider. For the other items, I will replicate your setup and gather the diagnostics and refer to our provider
