Just added a adult folder on my server, and suddenly Plex showing it on dashbord(!) I wont have it on Plex at all, but it just added it by itself. I just deleted the “other movies” in Plex that also removed the content, but how do I secure that Plex not adds the folder again? Can I ban it or something ?
If you mean the recently added hubs on the home screen dashboard.
When you create the library (or edit it) under Advanced. for Visibility. choose ~exclude from Dashboard and Global Search

but if you really mean
then don’t add the folder in the first place.
Can you not do the .plexignore thing to the filename?
Or drop them in a folder that is not in the library (maybe up a level?)
It’s never added to Plex but only put on a hdd in another folder way from all Plex folders. That’s why I wondering…
It’s on Another folder but Plex automatic added it? How do I make plex ignore?

How did you set your library up, Plex must be scanning a higher folder, which includes your HDD?
Or maybe there is a share setup on the HDD?
Plex only looks at the folders (or sub folders) that you add to a library. It can’t see folders or media in other locations. If your adult content is in the directories (or subfolders) then Plex will see them.
Compare the folders you added to the libraries to the folders the adult content is in.
This movie here is in my Cinema2 folder for example
I’ve got following folders:
Movies
TV
TV-Shows
Movies is set to F:\Shared\Movies
TV is set to F:\Shared\TV
TV Shows is set to F:\Shared\TV-Shows
But after adding a adult folder to F:\Shared\Adult its showing up under “Other videos” i just deleted that “Other Videos” but my fear is its shows up again randomly.
“Other Videos” is a type of library like TV Shows or Movies are types if libraries. Libraries can’t created by themselves. When you created the “Other Vidoes” library which folder did you select? If you don’t want an “Other Videos” library then don’t make one.
Yeah, i just deleted it inside Plex, so hopefully it wont pop up again
Can i make a .plexignore and put in the text of the folder?
You could… but it’s a little useless if there’s no library using this folder
