Bandwidth seems to be limited to 2mb for remote

Server Version#:1.31.2.6739
Player Version#:

I have recently upgraded my fibre connection from BT to full fibre with Lila Connect. This gives me download and upload speeds of 250mbps.

I have remotes access enabled and can access the server remotely.

My problem is that the maximum bandwidth I can get remotely seems to be 2mbps. As a result all videos are transcoded to very low quality.

Within PMS I have the internet upload speed set at 200mbps in the remote access section. And I have Limit Bitrate to No Limit.

I did not have this issue with my previous fibre connection but now I have a faster full fibre this problem has arisen.

The connection at the remote side is fibre too and has adequate bandwidth to receive good quality video.

It appears as though the PMS is limiting the bandwidth but I cannot find a setting that is doing this.

Any help would be appreciated!

Your ISP is using CGNAT.
Lila Connect Terms & Conditions - 3.9 A CGNAT dynamic IP address is provided as standard. On request at an additional cost LilaConnect can supply a Public IP (dynamic or static) address (IPV4), one per subscription..
You are connecting to your plex server via a relay which is bandwith limited . You need to contact your ISP to get a public IP.

Thanks for your advice.

So if I get a static ip address from Lila will this resolve the issue straightaway without the need for any settings to be altered within the router or PMS?

Once you have a real IP address, your modem/router should be able to open a port (UPNP).

If that doesn’t work automatically then you will need to open one by hand. Otherwise, it should be OK. When opening manually, you tell PMS (on the Remote Access settings page) which port you assigned.

Thanks for your help. I will contact Lila on Monday and sort out a static ip.
