Hey, today I tried watching a x265 6,7mbps file. I selected original quality (so that would be 6,7mbps… right?). But when I looked at my dashboard it said 28mbps. I apologise if it’s a stupid question but can someone explain to me why its way higher than the original file. Can I do something to lower it (except reducing the quality)? And what about remote streaming? If I want to watch that same file outside of my home network… Would I need 28mbps upload + 28mbps to watch it?
Againn sorry if it’s a stupid question
Thx in advance!
Edit: I wanted to play it on my gen 3 chromecast, which doesn’t support x265.
Edit 2: I swear it wasn’t this high before. I’m even seeing 34mbps peaks. 2 days ago I did change to another internet provider with wayyy faster internet… Does it have to do something with that? Like, I saw something about plex taking as much upload speed as possible (which causes buffering) when you dont set an upload speed limit, but that’s for remote and I’m talking about local so Idk.
