As I said when i´m watching something the episodes or movies end randomly as if it finished. Sometimes is after 30 minutes and other after less. I´m using my personal pc as a server.
My specs are :Windows 11, RTX 4070 TI SUPER, RYZEN 7 7800X3D, 32 GB RAM, and a WD Red Plus NAS 6TB HDD.
I play my content on a CoreELEC ugoos am6b+ and both pc and ugoos are connected via LAN to my 1gb fiber optic internet.
Im doing 4k HDR playback with direct play if that´s relevant.
(Unrelated its weird but i see something like lines across the screen as if its pixelated and a lot of small dots(film grain?) even when my file is a blu ray remux. Should I make separate post for this?)
I´m paying for plex pass and its making me go crazy, dont know if both are a me and my settings issue or a plex issue.
Its on all my devices: android phone and chrome pc . Maybe I should have been more thorough on my post. Also happens on 1080p and other resolutions and sdr.
I wouldn’t bank on it. This is an issue i’ve had for years. I’ve found that it’s typically any HDR or Dolby vision content that causes it. I can’t direct play on any device because they all exhibit this behavior. I’ve collected logs in debug mode and recreated it, but the logs show nothing.
Re-encoding the file will sometimes fix it, or replacing it with another encoded version generally “fixes” it. Plex seems not at all interested in fixing client issues for local media playback. Like I said, I’ve posted about this issue before and got no help. This is back in 22
Really glad I paid for lifetime plex pass. Ultimately i’ve begun transitioning to jellyfin, which sucks, but plex is not focusing on fixing any bugs for local media. They only care about their streaming services.
As you are using a Ugoos am6b+ check your HDMI cable is the full 4k spec. Mine wasn’t and I was getting random stopping using Coreelec playing back all files. I’m not using Plex, playing files directly over the network. Pixelated lines and dots on the image also suggests your cable is not up to spec.
I have two users who are reporting this issue. The only thing I read is that people say I should change the Transcoder default throttle buffer I had it set to 300, then 120, and now I’ve set it back to 60 to see if that fixes it. I even read that one user set it to 0 and that fixed it.
I’m having the same issue, and at least one my users reported it too. Happens randomly during the episode or movie. Haven’t determined any consistency on media formats.
User reported it on TV, but for me it’s been on my laptop app. Just recently started happening the past couple weeks, and I didn’t change anything other than maybe automatic PMS updates.
