I have 1:1 BD rips sat on my NAS, wherever possible I have ripped the best audio track.
I understand that if I do not select pass through within OpenPHT or RASPLEX, then the audio is sent to my amp via LPCM.
Am I really going to notice a difference between that and say, passing DTS-HD to my amp for it to decode the sound?
I ask as it seems that Windows 10 is one of the few platforms that will pass through DTS-HD, but I really don’t like it. I’d much rather have a Pi3 or Mac Mini for such duties, but these don’t support DTS-DHD do they?

Nope. Your amp may not add any post processing to the sound though via it’s calibration with LPCM though. It definitely sounds different when bitstreaming but that’s due to the level differences from the calibration.
