I have just started using plexamp on my android phone to play my own music from the plexserver. I have downloaded my own songs to my phone, but have no idea how it is being queued up, how I can remove the downloads, etc. Is there a guide somewhere on how to use this feature ?

As for downloads… you best manage/access/queue them from the downloads tab in the main navigation (bottom bar)
I think I have figured out the main thing I need to understand. Use the same download symbol to process the downloads thereafter. For example, a “remove all” button is within. Excellent design. Really like plexamp.
