I’ve recently added a really big show (Detective Conan, also known as Case Closed) to my server. Usually when adding a big show, i’m expecting it to take its time when generating metadatas (especially since i have credits detection and video previews turned on), however it’s been more than 24 hours now, all the detection tasks have been completed and the show still looks like it’s unmatched.
As you can see, the show is correctly matched, but it hasn’t been renamed, neither did the episodes, and there’s no poster for the show/seasons, or description for the episodes.
I tried fixing the match and refreshing the metadata manually, to no avail. Nothing changes, no matter how many times i try.
This library has other big shows, such as One Piece which has an equivalent amount of episodes, and those all got their metadatas without me doing anything, even if it took a while. How come this one doesn’t?
I’d guess its most likely not matched. Looking at your screenshot you have [tvdb-72454] which is not the correct way to use plex matching, it needs to be {tvdb-72454}.
I’d suggest changing that and then do a plex dance on the show.
Detective Conan (1996) [tvdb-72454] this tells me that the show has not been matched. Part of the problem is what dokuro said about brackets. anything inside of [] gets ignored for matching purposes, {} is the correct syntax.
the bracket thing appears when i match the show. Initially it was just showing “Detective Conan (1996)”, but after clicking on match show (or fix match) the name got the [tvdb-72454] added to it. Unmatching it, refreshing metadata, rematching it, refreshing them again… None of that works
